While I’ve “fixed” food since I was a teenager and started baking in my early twenties, I hadn’t done much serious cooking. During my marriage (happily divorced since May 2011, separated since February 2010), I was always the primary breadwinner and not the primary housekeeper and cook.

It’s been awesome having the chance to manage my little household and cook. Even better, my boyfriend is not a picky eater. He cheerfully submits to my experiments. I’ve come up with some winners and a few never to be repeated. I’ve got plenty of ideas and recipes to try. Between Chris and the new blog, I have plenty of inspiration to avoid getting in a rut in the kitchen.
